On Thursday, January 18th, the Alumni Association’s NY Chapter and JICUF co-hosted a shinnenkai in the Flat Iron District in Manhattan. Approximately 30 alumni gathered to celebrate the new year. There were a lot of new faces at the event. Among the participants were two alumni based in San Francisco and Chicago, who were in New York on business trips, and a current ICU graduate student. As always, it was wonderful to make new friends as well as catch up with old ones. Thank you to everyone who came! 

Izumi Osawa-Minevich, the representative of the the NY Chapter, is planning to host an ohanami some time in April.
