ICU student group, Theater NIJI. received a JICUF grant to travel to schools and nursing homes in Indonesia and perform some musicals and plays. Their trip also included acting workshops for the children and some volunteering activities as well.
ICU students Marina Nakamura and Shiho Takahashi received a grant to being their popular Facebook page, Humans of ICU, to part of Tohoku. The project seeks to inspire students to think about way to continue helping in the revitalization of Tohoku.
Aomi Kuwayama received a ¥150,000 JICUF grant to compare educational inequalities between urban and rural areas in the Philippines. The research will serve as a part of her senior thesis and the basis of her master’s thesis.
