As announced earlier this month, the Japan ICU Foundation (JICUF) opened its Japan office on the ICU campus in room 123 of the Education and Research Building (ERB). To celebrate the historic opening of this office, JICUF President & CEO Paul Hastings will visit the campus in May to host a series of special events with Hideko Matsuyama, Program Manager based in the Japan Office, and Sachiko Tokai, Communications and Operations Associate, who is also traveling from New York. 

Day 1  May 14 (Tuesday)

10:00 – 16:30 Open House (ERB123)
Everyone in the ICU community including students, faculty, staff and alumni is invited to drop by our office to meet Paul, Hideko and Sachiko! Donuts and coffee will be provided. JICUF staff will be happy to introduce funding opportunities for students and faculty.

Day 2 May 15 (Wednesday)

10:00 – 14:30 Open House (ERB123)
Second day of open house! Donuts and coffee will be provided.

15:30 – 17:00 Grants Showcase (University Cafeteria)
Selected students and faculty who have received JICUF funding in the past have been invited to give a poster presentation on their projects. Come and meet the grantees to learn about some of the fascinating projects that JICUF has supported!

17:30 – 19:30 Reception (University Cafeteria) – By invitation only
Faculty, staff, students and others who have worked with JICUF in the past are invited to a reception. 

Day 3 May 16 (Thursday)

10:00 – 14:30 Open House (ERB123)
Third day of open house! Donuts and coffee will be provided.

15:00 – 17:00 A Conversation on ”The History of JICUF and ICU – Recreating a Vision for the Future (tentative title)” (University Cafeteria)
Professor Emeritus William Steele and Paul will engage in a conversation about the history of JICUF and ICU, as well as the future vision of both institutions. We welcome all members of the ICU community to join the discussion!
