Ms. Sawa Nakagawa graduated from ICU in 1999. A true cosmopolitan, Ms. Nakagawa has spent much of her life abroad on multiple continents with a career in finance. She now resides in Nairobi, Kenya, and runs her own advisory firm focused on impact investing and social innovation. She graciously shared her story with us.
Dr. Yutaka Morohoshi graduated from ICU in 1969, and has had an unusual career which took him around the world. Dr. Morohoshi graciously pledged a planned gift to JICUF this year, and joined the Hachiro Yuasa Society. We asked him to look back at his time at ICU, and the many adventures he has had.
Wayne Osako, who studied at ICU from 1990 to 1991 as an OYR (exchange student) from the University of California, Riverside, played an instrumental role in the issuance of the “Go For Broke” stamp that honors Japanese-American soldiers who served during WWII. We asked Wayne to share his story.
Mr. Stephen Dyer, who spent over a year at ICU as a kenkyusei in the early 1980s, shared his ICU story.
Dr. Hisato Yamaguchi majored in physics at ICU and graduated in 2001. He currently resides in New Mexico and works as a researcher at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Please enjoy his alumni story.
Ms. Noriko Iwase, who graduated from ICU in 1974, currently lives in Washington, D.C. After a long career at the United Nations and World Bank, she decided to pursue a different path. A generous supporter of JICUF and ICU, she shared her ICU story with us.
Mr. Darrell Clausen studied at ICU in the 1970s as a four-year regular student. He currently resides in Southern California and is an active member of the alumni chapter there. He shared his unique story with us this month.
Danny Ha was an OYR (One Year Regular student) at ICU from 1993 to 1994. He currently resides in New York, and will join JICUF’s Board of Trustees in April!
